The Dalai Lama and You

Most people think of the Dalai Lama as an advanced spiritual being, someone who is respected for having achieved a heightened sense of awareness and love.

Now let’s say that we are at the same place together with the Dalai Lama. What are the things that separate us, between the way he is thinking and acting, and what we are thinking and how we are acting?

It seems that the most likely differences are in our focus and thought process, and how connected we are to our holy space, to what degree we are being at the highest state of our love essence.

How do we account for the difference in the way that the Dalai Lama, or any other enlightened individual, and us represent ourselves to others? He doesn’t have super powers either, so it must be something other than that.

It appears that it all comes down to “choices.”

At any moment in time, we all can achieve an enlightened state of being, if we choose to be our most compassionate, loving self.
