As we kindle the lights of Shabbat,

feel the gentle warmth, of the dancing flames,

bathing your inner essence with love.

Bless your children and loved ones, Yavarechacha Adon-I  V’eYsihmarecha.

Remember their blessedness to your life, Yaaer Adon-I panav aleicha V’ye-chu-necha.

Commit to memory, the value, meaning and purpose

that resulted from joining your paths together,

Yisah Adon-I panav Aleicha, the Yasame L’chol Shalom.

May the Shechina of peace,

lovingly caress, and embrace,

the connectedness of hearts on our journey.

By means of our Kiddush blessing,

wholly taste the appeal of sweet Shabbos wine,

taking pleasure in the refreshing fruit of the vine,

while savoring the fruits of life.

Inhale the tantalizing fragrance of the Challah,

before sharing in our Motzi blessing.

On Shabbat, as we taste this sacred bread of the earth,

we come to know the goodness and holiness of the bread of life.

Nourishment for our bodies, sustenance for our souls,

Shabbat,

breath of holiness;

Shalom,

touch of wholeness and peace.

Feel Shabbat with your inner being,

an aura of calmness and serenity.

Embrace shalom,

the blessing of tranquility and peace.

Shabbat,

a celebration of the senses,

rejoicing of hearts in the holiness of love.

Shalom,

experiencing the completeness of true peace,

the ecstasy of souls unified in oneness.
